Alexander Isak is set to miss Newcastle United's final two pre-season friendlies this summer, as talk of a Liverpool switch continues to gather pace. The striker had gone AWOL earlier this summer and was believed to be training with his former club Real Sociedad, before returning to the North East outfit this week.
Liverpool are believed to have already seen one bid for the striker rejected, with Newcastle having remained adamant that the Swede simply isn't for sale. That hasn't stopped Liverpool from pushing for a deal and there are suggestions the Merseyside outfit could launch another bid before the September 1 deadline.
