Benjamin Sesko makes transfer decision amid Man United and Newcastle battle

Manchester United have agreed a £66.5m fee with RB Leipzig for striker Benjamin Sesko, with the potential to rise to £73.7m with add-ons.

Sesko is set to become Ruben Amorim’s third major summer signing, pushing United's transfer window spending beyond £200m.

The Slovenian striker chose Manchester United over Newcastle United, marking another transfer setback for the Magpies this summer.

Sesko, who scored 21 goals for RB Leipzig last season, is expected to agree on personal terms for his move to Old Trafford.

His acquisition aims to strengthen United's attack, as their main centre-forwards scored only seven Premier League goals combined last season.
