Manchester United's Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee have been spotted in team training, gearing up for Saturday's final pre-season friendly against Fiorentina and the Premier League curtain-raiser against Arsenal.

Both Onana and Zirkzee have been absent from the pre-season action due to injury woes, despite joining the squad on their US tour.

Onana suffered a hamstring injury during the first week of pre-season training last month, leaving him in a race against time to be match-ready for the Premier League opener against Arsenal at Old Trafford next Sunday.

United released snaps of him training during the second week of their US tour, with insiders saying he had been "throwing himself around" in training, albeit in non-contact drills.

Photos shared by the club on Thursday showed him training alongside United's other keepers at Carrington, hinting he might get some game time in this weekend's showdown with Fiorentina.

His last appearance was when the Reds lost 1-0 to the ASEAN All-Stars in a post-season tour friendly back in May.

Zirkzee was also seen training in the latest photos released by the club, indicating his recovery is on track. He was hurried back from a hamstring injury for last season's Europa League final but picked up a different injury three weeks ago.

Following his exclusion from the team that headed to Stockholm to face Leeds United in their pre-season curtain-raiser, he was part of the squad that made its way to the States but remained unused in United's trio of Premier League Summer Series fixtures.

While on tour, Zirkzee said: "I've got a small injury but it shouldn't take too long to recover now," and noted, "I've got great physios working with me every day.

"It's not a serious problem. It's pre-season so unlike last season where I wanted to push myself to be back for the final, obviously now I just want to be there for the start of the season."
