Everton have quickly learned this summer just how competitive the transfer market is proving to be.
After joining the club from Leeds United, Angus Kinnear admitted he had a huge summer at Everton ahead of him.
Some positive work has been done, with David Moyes provided Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as a new option in his midfield.
However, Moyes has shared his demands for more Everton signings ahead of the window shutting in September.
The free agent departures in June have left Everton needing both quality and quantity to really pull this squad together.
Moyes has shared some other concerns whilst Everton were away on pre-season duty in the United States, and they have come to light again.

Juanlu Sanchez snubs potential move to Everton
With a new right-back needed, Everton have eyed Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez, with a three-man shortlist put together at Finch Farm.
The 21-year-old does have interest from elsewhere, though.

According to ABC Sevilla, Sanchez is not interested in the proposals which have arrived from both Everton and Wolves.
It is believed the Spaniard is only keen to join Napoli this summer.
If a move to the Serie A champions does not develop, then Sanchez is keen to remain at Sevilla for the 2025/26 campaign.
Everton are in desperate need of signing a new right-back over the coming weeks, with a fresh setback to Nathan Patterson.
Moyes has admitted Patterson is suffering hernia symptoms, which kept him out of the game against Manchester United at the weekend.
But there is a bigger issue on display that Moyes has already raised.
David Moyes concerned by players turning down Everton interest
Moyes has demanded nine new signings this summer, which is leaving the recruitment team with plenty of work to do in the coming weeks.
It is proving difficult to get some of their targets over the line, though.
There is an understanding that Everton hoped the new stadium would attract a higher calibre of player this summer.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been impressed by Everton’s ambition, but Moyes has already admitted it’s proved difficult to convince players to join Everton.
“It’s a bit easier when you’re a club in Europe. You get a better chance of attracting a lot of players. We’ve been in for a lot of really good players. Unfortunately, a lot of them have said no at the moment,” he said whilst in the States.
“If we’re going for players, we’re not going for bad players. Our attraction is maybe to some younger ones who are up and coming, or also those from lower leagues. In those cases, it is not a problem. But if you’re trying to take players who have had European experience or playing at the top end, they’re the ones where the ones we will find it harder to attract.”
Everton do not have any time to dwell on the reported Sanchez rejection, as Jake O’Brien remains the only realistic option at right-back.
