Former Leeds United forward Manor Solomon has reacted to Son Heung-min's latest Instagram post after Tottenham confirmed the South Korean has left the club to sign for LAFC this summer.
Son revealed in a press conference on Saturday that he had made the decision to depart Spurs after ten years in north London. He made his final appearance in a pre-season fixture against Newcastle United on Sunday before Spurs announced that a deal - set to be worth £20million - has been agreed with LAFC.
The 33-year-old scored 173 goals and provided 101 assists in 454 appearances for Tottenham following his £22m move from Bayer Leverkusen in August 2015. He won one major piece of silverware - the Europa League - and claimed the Premier League Golden Boot and Puskas Award among his individual honours.
After Tottenham confirmed that a transfer had been agreed to sell Son to LAFC, the ex-Hamburg man took to social media to write another emotional message to the club's fanbase.
Son said, accompanied with several images of him in action across the last decade: "Thank you for the best time of my life," alongside a white love heart emoji and blue love heart emoji.
Reacting to Son, Solomon liked his post and appeared to show support for his former Tottenham teammate.
Son and Solomon played together during the 2023/24 season and linked up on a couple of occasions, none more so than during Tottenham's 5-2 demolition of Burnley, where both players impressed.
However, Solomon's loan move to Leeds United last season meant he last played a competitive fixture alongside Son back in September 2023, when Tottenham beat Liverpool 2-1.
But while Solomon has been linked with a return to Leeds after impressing during his loan spell last campaign, Son's departure could lead to him getting more minutes and game time under Thomas Frank.
Solomon appears to be keen to fight for his place at Tottenham after they booked their place back in the Champions League. Spurs are a little light of elite options in that area and Solomon could shine.
Leeds, meanwhile, are desperate to add forward players to their squad ahead of the new Premier League. Indeed, Daniel Farke called on the club's board to strengthen in attack after his side's 1-1 draw against Villarreal.
Farke said: "You could tell in the offensive area we need a bit more quality, we know this. If you compare our offence now to the Championship offence last season, we have lost our standout player in the second half of the season in Manor Solomon and we know we need additions in this position."
