Newcastle are scrambling for replacements as they look to bolster their squad before the window shuts.

After missing out on a plethora of players, with Benjamin Sesko the latest, the Magpies need to find a quick solution in what is turning out to be a disastrous window.

Alexander Isak has his heart set on a move to Liverpool with the Swedish international ostracized doing individual training.

Isak knows the Reds are waiting in the wings, with an offer in the region of a reported £110M rejected by Newcastle last Friday.

Despite reports that Liverpool would not bid again for Isak, we at DaveOCKOP.com have always maintained the stance that Liverpool WILL return with a second offer for Isak.

And with Benjamin Sesko set to make the move to Manchester United, Newcastle is getting desperate.

As a result, DaveOCKOP.com can reveal that Eddie Howe could be looking sign Michail Antonio as a striker option.

He is a free agent after leaving West Ham this summer but could also be a replacement for Callum Wilson.

His contract expired at the end of the 2024-25 season, and West Ham confirmed they will not be offering him a new deal as a first-team player following his serious car accident in December 2024.

Although he returned briefly to play for Jamaica and even appeared for West Ham’s Under-21 team in a friendly, the London club confirmed he will not be continuing as a first-team player.

Meanwhile, Callum Wilson has gone the other way on a free transfer, with the Hammers confirming the deal.

It would be a strange turn of events for the two clubs to switch strikers, but stranger things have happened in the transfer market.

Liverpool will still try for Alexander Isak until the market shuts on September 1.

The Swede will reportedly not feature in Newcastle’s pre-season games this weekend in the form of the Sela Cup against Espanyol, Atletico Madrid, and Aston Villa.
