Everton manager David Moyes is hoping to see some top-quality players come through the doors this summer.
There are a number of positions that need filling at Everton before the window comes to a close in early September.
Moyes is pushing for more Everton signings on the back of a frustrating United States tour for the 62-year-old.
And he has some interesting decisions ahead of him over his squad selection, with the Premier League curtain raiser just over one week away.
The 62-year-old may need to use some of his youngsters to pack out the squad if more new additions are not made.
Moyes has one final pre-season game to figure out his squad, but his handling of young players has been placed under scrutiny.

Simon Jordan issues David Moyes warning after Wayne Rooney’s Everton exit
Simon Jordan has been impressed by the Friedkins since they completed their takeover on Merseyside back in December.
However, he has used Moyes’ handling of a young Wayne Rooney as a warning when it comes to Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Speaking on TalkSPORT, Jordan has suggested Moyes’ use of Rooney during his early days may have pushed the striker towards his Manchester United move.
“It’s the age old thing of how young players tend to go on rollercoasters. They go up and down, their form dips, that’s the orthodoxy,” he said.
“The mentality that David Moyes deployed to handle Wayne Rooney would’ve frustrated Wayne Rooney at times and might have exacerbated the departure; Man United were calling at the time, and United were the big club in English football.”
Duncan Ferguson has shared his own Rooney regrets, with the Everton legend feeling he could have done more to help the youngster.
Considering there is a lot that could have been done differently in Rooney’s early career, it just goes to show the quality of the player that Everton were able to produce.
Everton’s academy needs to provide more talent
At a time when Moyes is in desperate need of more players, he could really do with some real exciting prospects to break into the starting XI.
Harrison Armstrong has really impressed Moyes, but the youngster’s future ahead of the new season still remains up in the air.
The midfielder spent the second half of last season out on loan with Derby County.
After showing his quality, Armstrong has received interest from clubs across Europe, as Moyes could sanction his exit on loan.
Another player to impress at Everton is Isaac Heath, but there has been a lack of homegrown quality in the squad over recent years.
