Man United fans voted the best player in 2025 pre-season tour, there was one clear winner

Manchester United enjoyed a hugely successful pre-season tour and returned to England as the champions of the Premier League Summer Series.

Ruben Amorim led his side on a pre-season tour of the United States this summer, which saw Manchester United play three friendly clashes against Premier League opposition.

Back-to-back wins over West Ham and Bournemouth were followed by a 2-2 draw against Everton, and the performances in the USA have given fans a reason to be optimistic about the upcoming season.

There are now just 10 days remaining until United face Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League season. Ahead of the new season, supporters were quizzed on the best player out on tour.

Man United fans all agree on best player from pre-season tour

Overall, Amorim will consider United’s pre-season tour a huge success. The Red Devils remained unbeaten while showing huge progress in their style of play.

There were several winners from United’s tour, with many of Amorim’s squad impressing in the three matches.

But when supporters were asked to name who was best on tour, there was one clear winner.

As per ManUtd.com, Bruno Fernandes received 50% of the vote to be crowned United’s best player of the tour.

Patrick Dorgu was world-class on tour, and finished second in the voting with a very respectable 24%.

Third place was split between Amad Diallo and Leny Yoro, who both put in magnificent displays in the USA.

Bruno Fernandes could be handed new role in 2025/26

Last season, many will argue that Fernandes was the only reason United weren’t relegated from the Premier League.

United’s captain repeatedly carried his team through games during a season where most of the squad underperformed.

But Ineos have moved quickly to reinforce Amorim’s attacking options this summer, and the arrival of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha should ease some of Fernandes’ responsibility.

Instead of playing in the No.10 position he occupied last season, now Fernandes is expected to spend much of the 2025/26 campaign in a deeper central midfield role.

Fernandes shone in central midfield against Everton, proving he is more than capable of playing there next season.

The Portuguese playmaker will likely still spend some time playing further forward, but it will be interesting to see how Fernandes fits into Amorim’s plans now that there is a star-studded attacking line to share out the goals.
