Leicester City have spent much of the summer shrouded in uncertainty, but there’s growing optimism that August could bring a more positive turn for the Foxes. A potential points deduction still looms large over the club, as new manager Marti Cifuentes begins to shape the squad in his image.
The Spaniard will largely be working with the existing group at the King Power Stadium. To date, veteran goalkeeper Asmir Begovic remains the club’s sole signing, and major transfer activity looks unlikely at this stage.

That said, departures could open the door for further movement. Begovic’s arrival might signal at least one exit, with current first-choice keeper Mads Hermansen now edging closer to a return to the Premier League.
According to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett, via X, West Ham United have agreed a fee with Leicester City for Hermansen. The Hammers are set to pay £18m for the Danish ‘keeper, and have cancelled a deal to sign Brazilian John Victor in the process.
He is now set for a medical with the London outfit, leaving Leicester City after two years. Personal terms have already been agreed for the move that Graham Potter has been key too.
No shock that Leicester City are losing Mads Hermansen
In his first season in English football, Mads Hermansen was a key figure in Enzo Maresca’s title-winning Leicester City side in the Championship. The Danish goalkeeper made 44 league appearances, kept 13 clean sheets, and conceded just 41 goals — an impressive record of less than one goal per game.

Hermansen boasts all the attributes of a modern Premier League keeper. He’s composed with the ball at his feet, a dependable shot-stopper, and has already proven he can perform consistently at a high level.

Yet, during Leicester’s previous stint in the Premier League, he was unable to prevent their slide into relegation, conceding 58 goals in 27 appearances as the Foxes finished 13 points from safety. Despite the Foxes’ struggles, it is no surprise that Hermansen is getting another crack at the Premier League.

Another outgoing for LCFC
Hermansen is not the only player who is set to leave Leicester City. Earlier today, Wilfried Ndidi was set to undergo a medical at Turkish side Besiktas.
Bilal El Khannouss is also likely to leave LCFC in the coming weeks. Cifuentes is going to need to be able to reinvest to be able to compete this year.
They will be in serious trouble if no incomings come soon. Signings all across the pitch are a priority for Leicester City.
