Champions League clubs competing with Leeds United for Brighton star

Leeds United could add to their seven new arrivals this month. The summer transfer window closes at the end of August, but with the European leagues kicking off in over a week, some clubs will be in a rush to complete business.

Leeds could be one of those clubs after what Daniel Farke said this week. The club still have some areas to sort out before they are ready for next season. The Whites are looking for fullbacks, wingers, number 10s and a new striker. There could be even more added to that as Leeds expect some exits soon. The likes of Patrick Bamford, Joe Gelhardt and Mateo Joseph could leave the club.

According to Ben Jacobs, Leeds have serious interest in Brighton star Facundo Buonanotte. The Whites are looking to add some quality to their attack, and the Argentine fits that profile. But there is not a lot of confidence that they can pull off such an ambitious move.

Patrick Berger of Sky Sports is also reporting that Dortmund have serious interest in the Brighton star. The Bundesliga side are currently in talks over a move. Their offer has been rejected, but it is believed they will return with an improved bid.

According to Berger, Brighton would prefer Buonanotte go on loan to another club in England, which would mean that Leeds United have an upper hand in the race.

Club have to get some signings in before Everton game

Even though the window closes at the end of the month, it is advisable that Leeds get their business done as early as possible. If the club was able to wrap up most of their business in the first week of training camp, they can make this happen.

But obviously the club cannot rush into things and make panic signings.
