Man Utd have struck a full agreement on personal terms with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. This signals a major step forward in their summer transfer plans.

Red Devils win race for Europe’s rising striker

Manchester United are a big step closer to landing a new centre-forward Benjamin Sesko. He has agreed personal terms with them, as per Fabrizio Romano.

The player has given a very positive sign towards Utd’s proposal. After agreeing terms, the contract with United will be until June 2030. Although, Newcastle are showing interest in Sesko. But, he had indicated clearly that he wants to move to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Man Utd and RB Leipzig need to find common ground on an agreed transfer fee. The club is already in negotiations to close a deal. United’s latest proposal contains an initial fee which is £65m. That includes a further £9m in performance related add-ons, making a total of £74m.

Man Utd strengthen summer rebuild with RB Leipzig star

The reality that Sesko wants to play under the lights of Old Trafford is a big boost for Ruben Amorim. He is willing to join even after there is no UCL next season for him. The young attacker had a great record during his time in Germany, scoring 39 goals in 87 games for Leipzig.

The Red Devils had looked at potential strikers like Ollie Watkins before switching their focus to Sesko. With the potential arrival of Sesko, it continues Utd’s aggressive approach in the market. While Leipzig have not officially responded to the bid yet. But, the agreement with the player signals that United are pushing hard to get this one over the line.

Amorim’s side are clearly rebuilding with intent. Sesko looks set to become the focal point of a new-look front line for the new season.
