Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has reportedly been offered to Manchester United as a late option. But, the Red Devils seem to have other plans.
United passes on Vlahovic offer
**Manchester Utd**were recently offered the chance to sign Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic, as per Tuttosport. But, the club has turned down the proposal.
Vlahovic has price tag that includes a big £327k-a-week wage. Additionally, he has seen a decline in form over the last season. So, he was seen a short-term fix rather than a long-term solution. Juve are looking to sell the Serbian striker this summer. They have been searching for suitors. His agents have reportedly offered him to United as the window inches toward its final weeks.
Nonetheless, Man Utd have firmly cleared that they are not interested in last-minute risks. That is especially not for a player on a declining goal tally. The player’s wages could affect the balance of the squad as well.
Though there were glimpses of promise with Fiorentina and a strong opening to his career in Turin. Vlahovic, however, has not managed anything like that in the recent times, netting just 10 times in 29 league games last season.
Sesko remains priority
The offer from Juventus comes as United continue their chase for a top striker. Their top target remains RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, with a bid already placed earlier this week. The young striker is considered to have higher potential, and fits more into Amorim’s idea.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee had missed the chance to find the net last season. So, United are taking a more sensible approach this time. They’re focused on long-term options rather than short-term fixes. Unless Sesko takes a late turn towards another club like Newcastle, Vlahovic is unlikely to land at Old Trafford.
As it stands, the Serbian striker’s future remains in the air. The Red Devils are holding firm on their current plan.
