Newcastle United fans will be treated to some fresh faces at St James’ Park this weekend.
Eddie Howe and his side are back on Tyneside, with Newcastle United set to compete in two more friendlies before the new Premier League season kicks off next week.
Newcastle face Espanyol on Friday, before taking on Atletico Madrid the following day. Howe is likely to split his Newcastle United squad across both games, which means plenty of opportunities for minutes.
It will be the first chance for Anthony Elanga and Aaron Ramsdale to play at St James’ Park since their moves to Newcastle United, while they could also be joined by another new recruit.

Park Seung-soo continues to train with Newcastle United first-team
While Antonio Cordero will not feature following his loan move to Westerlo, there could be an opportunity for other summer signing Park Seung-soo.
That is because the 18-year-old has been spotted during a Newcastle United first-team training session at Darsley Park.
The Magpies are back on Tyneside following their trip to Asia, where Seung-soo got acquainted with his new teammates.

He even got the chance to feature, with Seung-soo dazzling Newcastle fans with his dribbling ability.
Seung-soo really caught the eye, and is continuing to work with the first-team ahead of this weekend’s friendly double header.
With Howe’s squad set to be split over two games and options in attack limited, it seems likely that the South Korean teenager will feature against either Espanyol or Atletico Madrid.
Seung-soo has ‘world class’ ambitions at Newcastle United
No one really knew what to expect when Seung-soo was introduced against Team K League. Cynically, it felt like he was only featuring because he is a South Korean player.
However, he quickly showcased why Newcastle United have decided to buy him. He is incredibly exciting and there is potential there for him to develop into a special player.
That is what Seung-soo hopes for himself, having outlined his career ambitions during an interview with Korea JoongAng Daily.
“I want to become a world class player recognised by everyone, just like Son [Heung-min],” he said.
“I’m going to give it everything I’ve got so that my Premier League debut goal comes as soon as possible.”
