Brian Daboll Reveals Which Giants QB Will Play Against Bills In Preseason

The New York Giants took two potential building blocks in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

First, they selected edge rusher Abdul Carter, who drew consideration for being the No. 1 overall selection at one point.

Then, they traded up for quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Notably, the Giants were linked to Shedeur Sanders for months, so the fact that they took Dart instead speaks volumes about how they felt about him.

Fast forward to today, and it seems like the fans will finally get a glimpse of what they’ve got.

“Jaxson Dart will play in Saturday’s preseason game vs. Bills, per Brian Daboll. That’s pretty much all Daboll will give on his plan for the Giants preseason opener,” Jordan Raanan of ESPN wrote on X.

Dart will likely play behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston to begin the season.

His chances of taking the field as a starter are slim right now, but he could climb his way up to be QB2.

He looked a little raw coming out of Ole Miss, and he might need a year or two before being ready to take the reins of an NFL offense.

Even so, there have been plenty of positive reports coming out of training camp, and it’ll be interesting to watch Dart as he takes his first steps in the league.
