Benjamin Sesko will join Manchester United as the new first-choice striker in Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Manchester United have struck a £66m deal for Benjamin Sesko with RB Leipzig, with the 22-year-old striker on his way to England to finalise his move.
Sesko has good attributes for the Premier League, with the 6ft 5in striker more than capable of handling the league’s physicality.
But signing Benjamin Sesko puts the future of Rasmus Hojlund in doubt, with the Danish forward expected to drop behind United’s new arrival in the pecking order.
Amorim will need depth up front, but Sesko’s injury record suggests he is ready to play week in, week out for the Red Devils.

Is Man United signing Benjamin Sesko injury prone?
Because of injuries and a hectic schedule last season, Amorim implemented a rotation policy at United which caused controversy.
Managing minutes became crucial, especially towards the end of the campaign when United were going deep into the Europa League.

But with only the Premier League to focus on in 2025/26, it seems Sesko is more than capable of being a regular for United.
As per Transfermarkt, Sesko has not suffered a single injury since the second half of the 2021/22 season.
Incredible, Sesko has only ever suffered three individual injuries in his career, which forced him to miss 13 games for club and country.
His injuries include two separate cases of ‘torn muscle fiber’ and three games missed in November 2021 because of a thigh problem. There should be no concerns about any recurring injuries at United.
Last season, Sesko only failed to appear in one of Leipzig’s Bundesliga matches and that was due to a red card suspension.
Benjamin Sesko matches reliability of Bruno Fernandes
Unfortunately for United, there are several members of the squad who are prone to injury, including Luke Shaw and Mason Mount.
The Red Devils managed to avoid any injuries in pre-season, meaning the only sidelined member is Lisandro Martinez. However, the Argentine defender is ahead of schedule in his recovery.
One player who has boasted an incredible availability record at United is club captain Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes has only missed three matches through injury since joining United. His availability is a severely underrated trait, but certainly one appreciated by Amorim.
Fernandes has played more minutes than any player in Europe in recent years, and he continues to fight through any setback to be available for his side.
