While Arch Manning is getting ready for the upcoming season, many are already speculating about his his future beyond this year.
The Texas quarterback’s grandfather, former NFL star Archie Manning, said his grandson isn’t going anywhere, despite being eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft.
“Arch isn’t going to do that,” Manning told "Texas Monthly.“ “He’ll be at Texas.”
The former New Orleans Saints quarterback said he hasn’t had conversations with the younger Manning about his future.
Arch Manning, meanwhile, was asked about his future earlier this summer at SEC Media Days.
“I’m really just worried about getting through this interview and then getting through the run tomorrow,” Manning said. “I’m just focused on this year and getting better each day.”
Arch Manning staying at Texas would be consistent with his famous uncles’ path the NFL. Peyton Manning, who played at Tennessee, and Eli Manning, who played at Ole Miss, both returned to school in the first year of eligibility for the NFL Draft.
