YoungBoy NBA Now Has More Billboard 200 Album Entries Than Any Rapper In History

YoungBoy Never Broke Again has officially made history, becoming the most decorated rap artist on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The Baton Rouge native secured the milestone with the debut of his 34th project, MASA, which entered the chart at No. 6 after moving 49,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, per the outlet.

With this achievement, the prolific rapper leapfrogs Bay Area legend E-40—who’s had 33 albums hit the Billboard 200—to claim the top spot among all rap acts.

Since first charting in 2017 with his AI YoungBoy mixtape, YoungBoy has posted an astonishing 34 charting projects in just eight years, a staggering pace unmatched in modern rap history. He now sits in rare air, trailing only the Grateful Dead (88) for most albums charted overall on the Billboard 200 since 2010.

Perhaps even more remarkable is the company YoungBoy has surpassed along the way.

With 34 albums under his belt, he’s outpaced iconic names such as Snoop Dogg (30), Gucci Mane (29), Tech N9ne (29), Lil Wayne (24), Nas (24), JAY-Z (23), and 2Pac (21). At just 25 years old, YoungBoy is at least half the age of most of those legends, making the feat not only historic—but unprecedented.

What makes his chart dominance even more compelling is the adversity he’s faced outside the booth. Despite multiple run-ins with the law—including recent legal battles stemming from federal firearm charges in California and Louisiana—YoungBoy continues to deliver at a relentless clip.

In 2023, he was placed under house arrest in Utah while awaiting trial, a condition that didn’t stop him from recording, releasing music, or connecting with fans online. Earlier this year, he received a pardon from U.S. President Donald Trump.

While critics may debate his content or persona, there’s no denying YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s impact on the industry. In an era of rapid consumption and short attention spans, his consistency, fan engagement, and sheer volume of output have carved him a unique—and now historic—lane in Hip-Hop.
