The Philadelphia Eagles are back playing at the Linc for the first time since winning Super Bowl LIX, and fans are excited to see this year's team.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles are back playing at the Linc for the first time since winning Super Bowl LIX, and fans are excited to see this year's team.
The Eagles will take on the Cincinnati Bengals at Lincoln Financial Field Thursday night in the first preseason game.
"I think they're going to be strong. I mean, back-to-back is the dream, right?" Said Matt Phelan from Perkasie.
"I decided I needed another one the day after we won the last one. I was like, it's time to get greedy, but last year was amazing," said Gayle Saunders from Wilmington.
Amazing as it was, Gayle Saunders is ready to start this season fresh with a fresh new look for tonight's preseason game. He stopped at the Eagles Pro Shop to pick up some new gear.
After weeks of practice, the Eagles are putting on the pads and fans are excited.
"Just watching the players play in general, it's so fun to see them play and go out and have fun," said Brooks Keener.
His family traveled up from Charlotte, North Carolina, but they're not even close to the furthest fliers.
"Exciting, because we see a lot of people, we see a lot of space," said Matteo Zazzera from Italy. "We don't see stuff like that in Italy."
Matteo's right. There is nothing like football in Philadelphia and fans from all over the world and right here at home are ready for another winning season.
"I'm a teacher and I work in a school and the students get really excited and it's fun to see them wear all their gear too," said Keri Phelan.
