Bryson Howard's rise came from out of the mud

There are currently six players in the 2026 class who have set up official visits to North Carolina during the fall semester. One of them is Bryson Howard. The 6-foot-5 guard out of the Dallas area will also make his way to Texas A&M, Texas, Duke, Houston, Kentucky, UCONN, and Tennessee in that order. The Chapel Hill stop will be visit number two in between the Aggies and Longhorns.

Needless to say a list like that screams of a prospect with tremendous talent. Howard is ranked No. 29 nationally by 247, and is rated as the 12th best senior small forward.

However, his recruitment hasn't always been of the blue blooded variety. In fact, it really didn't take off until the late spring. Over two dozen high major offers have come since the beginning of May.
