The Madden NFL 26 ratings have been one of the bigger topics as the game is getting ready to release and Patrick Mahomes’ rating has been a story going on. He has been part of the exclusive “99 Club” for three iterations of the game, but missed being in the group for the second consecutive season.
This caused a lot of fans to question the rating system as a whole, but Mahomes addressed the situation. Let’s take a closer look at what he said regarding the video game rating he received.

Patrick Mahomes was asked on Wednesday, following the final training camp practice ahead of the preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals, about his thoughts regarding his 95 rating in the upcoming Madden game. Mahomes would give more of a diplomatic response and said he can quickly up that rating if the team does well.
“I like playing Madden, so I would like to be rated higher. But I’ve got to play and showcase that stuff on the field. I believe that if I go out there and play the football I want to play, we can get to 99 pretty quickly.”
Mahomes has the fourth-highest quarterback rating in Madden NFL 26 behind Josh Allen (99 overall), Lamar Jackson (99), and Joe Burrow (97). Mahomes had a bit of a down season compared to his career statistics but still was impressive nonetheless. He finished completing 392-of-581 (67.5%) of his passes for 3,928 yards with 26 passing touchdowns to 11 interceptions. Mahomes also had a 5:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio in the playoffs.
It will be interesting if the new-look offensive line and the options at wide receiver being healthy and active will help get the three-time Super Bowl winner back into the 99 Club.
