Lao Leeds United round-up: Mateo Joseph exit imminent, Bilal El Khannouss progress? AC Milan TV …

It’s been a quiet fortnight in West Yorkshire with Leeds United plotting to improve their attack as the Premier League season looms in just over a week.

The Whites have one more pre-season clash awaiting them this weekend out in Dublin before Daniel Farke’s focus hones in on a home test against Everton to start the Premier League season.

Leeds still have a lot of work to do in order to consider their squad ready for a survival bid in the top flight, mainly in the attacking department.

Kick off is scheduled for 3pm UK time, with the fixture being broadcast in the UK on the club’s LUTV platform, coming in at £4.99 for a match pass, while Premier Sports 1 will also be showing the game in the UK, which requires a subscription.

Outside of the UK and Italy ironically, the fixture is being shown on DAZN.

Mateo Joseph loan exit imminent to Mallorca in La Liga

It’s a foregone conclusion that Mateo Joseph would be leaving the club after requesting a transfer last month, but that appears close to a conclusion now.

Reliable journalist Matteo Moretto revealed earlier this week that La Liga side Mallorca were close to signing the Spanish striker, with further reports relaying this news, sharing that a deal is imminent.

Importantly, a loan deal is the format of Joseph’s transfer away from Leeds, with the 49ers refusing to agree to any buy options, purely sanctioning a straight loan.

Since then, Joseph has touched down ahead of his move to Mallorca, greeted by the press in Palma airport:

Charlie Crew joins Doncaster Rovers on loan

Another loan exit was in the news this week too, as teenager Charlie Crew completed a second move to League One club Doncaster Rovers.

Re-signing for the South Yorkshire side after his half-season loan in 24/25, Crew now arrives back at Rovers after their promotion into the third tier via the League Two title.

Manager Grant McCann was delighted with Crew’s return to the club:

“You saw how important he was for us during the run-in last season,” he told Rovers’ site. “Charlie can play at this level no problem. He can probably play at the level above at this moment in time.

“I’m pleased he’s here with us and I’m delighted that Leeds have trusted us again with one of their best young players. I’m hoping this loan spell can go well for Charlie.”

Bilal El Khannouss meeting expected imminently – Leicester No10 keen on ER move

In terms of incomings, Leicester City attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss has entered Leeds’ focus with a recent enquiry to his club over a move to Elland Road.

Holding a £24.5million release clause that expires a week today (August 15th), the Moroccan international is claimed to not be prioritising a club playing European football, a boost for Leeds as Crystal Palace remain keen too.

A meeting between Leeds and the player’s entourage is claimed to be imminent, according to Sacha Tavolieri, which could see United formalise their interest.

Joe Gelhardt’s Hull City loan exit imminent

Like Crew’s move to Doncaster, Joe Gelhardt is set to return to the club he spent the first half of 2025 on loan at.

Joffy’s five goals at Hull City clearly impressed the Tigers hierarchy, to the point where new manager Sergej Jakirović has pushed to bring him back to the MKM Stadium.

Advanced talks were revealed early this week, with the deal progressing towards an expected unveiling soon, as the Championship side continue to battle against their EFL restrictions, blocking them from paying fees for players.
