Tottenham are reportedly alongside Chelsea in showing an interest in an ambitious potential transfer move for Aston Villa attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers.
The talented 23-year-old really caught the eye in the Premier League last season, contributing eight goals and ten assists in 37 league matches.
Rogers also showed what he could do in the Champions League with Villa, and it’s clear he is someone who would have little problem in making the step up to an even bigger club.
According to Give Me Sport, both Spurs and Chelsea are keen on Rogers, who could cost as much as £100m.
The England international has also previously been linked as a top target for Chelsea by the Sun, but it now seems they could face competition from Tottenham.

Spurs now really need an attacking midfield signing after the injury blow regarding James Maddison.
It looks like Maddison is facing several months out with an ACL injury, as confirmed on Tottenham’s official site.
Rogers could arguably be an upgrade on Maddison anyway, but THFC now desperately need more cover in that area of their squad.
At the same time, it’s perhaps hard to see the north Londoners forking out anywhere close to £100m on one player.
What next for Rogers amid Spurs and Chelsea links?
Chelsea surely won’t also be signing Rogers as they work on deals for both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho.
The Blues have also already signed Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian as new attacking midfield signings this summer, so it’s unclear how they could also fit Rogers in.
