Bayern Munich officials have reportedly been in touch with Chelsea to find out the conditions of a potential transfer deal for Nicolas Jackson.
It seems Bayern are exploring this slightly surprising option to give them more cover up front, with Jackson valued at around €65m by Chelsea, according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
Jackson has not exactly set the world alight with his performances for Chelsea, so some Bayern fans will likely feel their club could be aiming a little higher here.
CaughtOffside understands that Jackson is also wanted by the likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Arsenal were offered Jackson earlier in the summer and other big clubs like Manchester United have also considered him.
Nicolas Jackson surely set to leave Chelsea

It’s seeming increasingly difficult to imagine Jackson still being a Chelsea player by the end of the summer transfer window.
The Senegal international just hasn’t quite lived up to expectations at Stamford Bridge so far, while new strikers Liam Delap and Joao Pedro have both come in this summer.
That surely pushes Jackson down the pecking order, and it will be interesting to see if he can still earn himself a big move to a club like Bayern.
Bayern eyeing Chelsea raid again
This is not the first time we’ve seen Bayern eyeing up players from Chelsea in this transfer window.
As reported by Christian Falk for CF Bayern Insider, the Bundesliga giants have also looked at both Malo Gusto and Renato Veiga.

So far, those deals have not materialised, but perhaps Jackson will now be one to keep a close eye on in the days and weeks ahead.
Chelsea will surely be happy to rubber-stamp some player sales after so much spending in recent times, with players like Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Carney Chukwuemeka, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell surely not in their plans.
