Man United star attracting interest from several clubs

Manchester United face Italian side Fiorentina on Saturday in their final pre-season friendly of the summer.

The Red Devils have so far drawn with both Leeds United and Everton, as well as defeating both West Ham United and Bournemouth during their pre-season campaign.

Ruben Amorim’s side welcome rivals Arsenal to Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season, before a visit to London to face Fulham.

In the meantime, it has emerged that one member of Amorim’s squad is attracting significant interest from elsewhere.

As reported by CaughtOffside, winger Antony is attracting interest from clubs all over Europe and is expected to leave United this summer.

The Brazilian spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish side Real Betis after falling out of favour under Amorim, and he is set to depart Old Trafford before the end of the current window.

It is claimed that United are hoping to offload the 25-year-old permanently, however, Benfica – who have emerged as potential suitors and have already held two rounds of talks over a move – are only pursuing a loan move.

During his time in Seville, Antony scored nine goals and registered five assists in 26 games for Betis.

The player himself is said to have already rejected offers from clubs in the Saudi Pro League and Brazilian outfit Botafogo, while Brighton and Hove Albion, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig are all said to be monitoring the player’s situation.

Antony joined United from Dutch side Ajax in 2022 and has now played 96 times for the club across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists.

The Brazil international is under contract at Old Trafford until the end of the 2026/27 season, but it appears increasingly likely that he will leave United this summer.
