Brighton star Carlos Baleba is reportedly keen to join Man Utd during this summer window.
Sesko close, Baleba the new priority
**Manchester United**’s summer transfer spree is showing no signs of cooling down. Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and now Benjamin Sesko are all on the verge of becoming part of the Red Devils’ new-look squad.
Transfer talks with RB Leipzig over Sesko are advancing smoothly. But, head coach Ruben Amorim has his sights set on adding a top-class midfielder before the window slams shut. With just over three weeks left, Man Utd are moving fast to give the boss his preferred choice.
That man is Carlos Baleba. The Brighton star has been on Amorim’s radar for months. He fits into the Portuguese coach’s system. He is a modern midfielder that can boss the middle of the pitch. Not only is Baleba respected for his skill set, but he also is highly valued for his energy.

Brighton hold firm as talks begin
Brighton have no interest in letting their midfield gem leave without a fight. The Seagulls view Baleba as a central figure in their plans. They have sent a clear message that he’s not for sale unless an huge offer arrives.
Reports suggest it could take more than £100m to even tempt them to the table. That hasn’t stopped United from opening talks with player’s camp this week. The Red Devils are testing the waters to see if there’s any room for movement.
For United, landing Baleba would be the final piece in a summer rebuild. Amorim believes the player can transform their midfield options. He will offer both defensive and attacking drive.
They will try to pull it off alongside the Sesko signing. Should that happen, it would be a statement move from them. It will likely show that Old Trafford is serious about climbing back to the top of English football.
