The controversial transfer that has emerged in Everton’s window is David Moyes’ pursuit for Liverpool’s Ben Doak.
With a new winger desperately needed in Moyes’ regime this season, Doak has emerged as a likely candidate for Everton despite the bitter rivalry.
Fans don’t want Doak, but the Toffees boss won’t be listening to their feedback as he sees the 19-year-old as someone who could shine in his plans.
It’s been said that Everton would be a good move for Doak, but time will tell whether that comes to fruition.
With other clubs circling, a new side have entered the frame as the Toffees now have an ultimatum to decide on.

Liverpool want offers around £20m for Everton target Ben Doak or they are happy to keep him
If the Reds attacker were to sign for the blue side of Merseyside, Doak would emulate Gary Ablett, who was the last player to play for both rivals in Liverpool.
The transfer would certainly come as a shock, but Moyes won’t want to overspend, and he’s made that very clear.
Everton are only willing to pay £15 million, but after what The Athletic have reported, it gives the Blues a chance.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Liverpool rejected offers of around £20 million for the winger in January, and it’s stated that Arne Slot’s side value him around the same amount now.
But if they do not receive an offer in that range, they are happy to retain him as a squad option, as Everton will now face new competition from Leeds United.
With just a £5 million separation from what the Toffees would pay, surely The Friedkin Group will at least table an offer after his previous form.

He’s obviously been a success in the Championship, and after his pre-season, Doak is ready for the Premier League challenge.
Everton target Ben Doak has shown his worth in pre-season
Evertonians might still be questioning whether they want this money spent on an unproven top-flight player, but he seems ready for anything.
This comes after a solid start to pre-season, but Liverpool fans still want Doak sold, which won’t leave Moyes complaining.
His hard work to win the ball back and provide in the final third is exactly what Doak is all about, and if he’s not wanted at Liverpool, the Scotsman will have a welcome place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Doak is an exciting talent, and with Tyler Dibling’s £50 million asking price out of Everton’s price range, a £20 million deal for the 19-year-old doesn’t seem too bad.
