NFL Rumors: Dolphins Urged To Trade $90M All-Pro Wide Receiver

The Miami Dolphins were one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL a few seasons ago, but they've since fallen off a cliff. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill struggled a bit last year, and the Dolphins couldn't manufacture much of an offense because of it.

It might be time for the Dolphins to rebuild their roster a bit, especially with the AFC East seemingly improving.

Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox recently urged the Dolphins to cut ties with Hill ahead of the regular season.

"Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine identified cornerback Jalen Ramsey and wide receiver Tyreek Hill as two of the Miami Dolphins' post-draft trade assets. One has already been dealt, and Miami would be wise to make the other available," Knox wrote. "There was a time when Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Tua Tagovailoa made Mike McDaniel's offense look like the NFL's next hot thing.

"However, the Dolphins have cooled considerably over the last year, and it'll be a surprise if they become title contenders in 2025. Moving Hill, who turned 31 in March, would make a lot of sense. He's still a difference-making receiver when healthy, but he probably doesn't have a future in Miami after his contract expires in 2026. The Dolphins should try getting what they can for the aging speedster while they can."

Hill still has some trade value. The Dolphins won't be able to recoup the draft capital they lost to land Hill, but they could manage to bring in some draft picks to cut ties with him.

At this point, Hill is only going to lose value. As he gets older, his value will continue to tank and his production will likely drop off, too. For now, he's a great wide receiver with the speed to take the top off the defense, but the Dolphins aren't in a position to compete for a Super Bowl. Trading Hill makes much more sense.
