West Ham United are preparing to finalise their pre-season preparations with a clash against Lille on Saturday.

The Hammers are set to welcome the Ligue 1 outfit to the London Stadium on 9 August, ahead of their return to Premier League action the following weekend.

Graham Potter and his side will travel to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland on 16 August, putting plenty of importance on this final friendly.

The French side will represent stern opposition for the Irons in East London after they secured a fifth-place finish in Ligue 1 last campaign.

West Ham expecting warm weather vs Lille

There are no concerns over cold, wet or windy conditions in E20 in what looks to be a picture-perfect way to finish the summer’s preparations.

With the clash kicking off at 3pm, supporters will be happy to learn that sunny intervals with a moderate breeze are expected throughout the Lille clash, as per the Met Office.

This will be matched by 25-degree Celcius temperatures, something which could prompt a number of drinks breaks for players at regular intervals.

West Ham vs Lille tickets sold out

According to the official Irons website, there are no tickets remaining at the London Stadium for the clash against Bruno Genesio’s side.

There are seemingly tickets available on third-party websites, with hospitality packages available for figures in and around £300 on StubHub.

It appears that the Hammers will have an attendance in the region of 60,000 for the Lille game, in another excellent showcase of support in E20.

Travel disruption possible heading to London Stadium

As it stands, there are planned disruptions to TfL Underground services on the Central line, which look likely to impact match-going fans.

No services will run between Leytonstone and Loughton or Newbury Park and Woodford, with replacement buses in operation across the weekend.

There are also some disruptions on c2c mainline services, while the Waterloo and City line does not run on Saturdays, Sundays or bank/public holidays.

Besides these potential concerns, there should be no other problems to impact supporters on their journey to the London Stadium.
