Draymond Green is one of the fiercest trash-talkers in the NBA today, and it turns out even Stephen Curry's brother isn't safe from him. Seth Curry recounted on The Greatest of Their Era podcast how Green had once ruthlessly called him a journeyman in front of Stephen.
"We were playing the Warriors one year," Curry said. "... Draymond out there, we're going back-and-forth, he talking. I get fouled, I might've got an and-one or something. I say something to him, and I'm at the free-throw line. He's like, 'Why you talking? You a journeyman. You've been on every team in the league.'
"And it was really funny because Steph was right there," Curry continued. "It was kinda awkward. Draymond, that's my guy, but he gonna talk when he on the floor. So, I'm talking back to him... I said back to him, 'That's a badge of honor for me. You know how many guys been on two teams and out of the league?' I'd rather be on eight, nine teams, have a 12-year career than, like he said, be one and done."
Seth has not turned out to be a superstar like his older brother, but he takes pride in being a journeyman. He has played for nine teams in 11 seasons and isn't ashamed about that.
This Instagram post came to Green's attention, and he made it clear on a story that he has a lot of love for Seth.
"It's all love, S Dot! You be trying to go at my mans."

This exchange certainly would have been a bit awkward for Stephen, though. It was his brother on one side and his long-time teammate on the other. The younger Curry not taking offense to this jab helped matters, but you wonder what might have happened if he had been offended.
We have seen Green run some beloved Warriors players out of town with his antics. His clash with Kevin Durant played a part in the superstar leaving the Golden State Warriors in 2019.
A few years later, in 2022, Green punched Jordan Poole during a practice session, which all but ensured that one of them would be gone sooner rather than later. The Warriors traded Poole, who was viewed as the heir apparent to Stephen, to the Washington Wizards in 2023.
If this situation that Seth brought up had escalated, though, Green would have been the one shipped out of town.
Seth Curry And The Warriors Have Mutual Interest
Seth remains a free agent at the moment, but that might not necessarily be down to a lack of interest in his services. According to ESPN, he and the Warriors have mutual interest.
"The Warriors also have mutual interest in De'Anthony Melton and Seth Curry as bench options, sources said. Melton made quite the impression in his six games with the Warriors last season before tearing an ACL. They like him as a backcourt fit next to Steph Curry and have identified Seth Curry, Steph's brother, as a needed bench shooter with an obvious family tie."
Seth averaged 6.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game for the Charlotte Hornets in 2024-25. He shot 45.6% from beyond the arc and would be a solid option off the bench for the Warriors.
Seth has shared his thoughts on playing alongside Stephen on the Warriors, but made it clear he is going to do what's best for himself. Only time will tell if these brothers become teammates.
