**We've had some fun laughing at some of the reports around Newcastle United coming out of Italy over the past few months.**
Back when we were full of confidence that our top stars were happy and content to stay at Newcastle, we'd joyfully pick up on reports coming out of Italy about Sandro Tonali and mock them for their fantastical nature.
We're in a different frame of mind now after Alexander Isak's behaviour this summer has made us feel very vulnerable, and we no longer believe that any player is untouchable.
Just kidding. Let's have a giggle at the Italian media's audacity once again.

Sandro Tonali to Juventus for cash plus two players?
----------------------------------------------------
Of course, it's going to involve Sandro Tonali again, the Italian press are obsessed with the idea of our midfield maestro returning home, no matter how much he states he is happy on Tyneside.
[Gazzetta dello Sport](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Juventus/07-08-2025/juve-su-tonali-con-vlahovic-al-newcastle-i-dettagli-della-trattativa.shtml?refresh_ce-cp) are now claiming that Juventus are ready to white knight their way into Newcastle's hearts by offering striker Dusan Vlahovic to the Magpies, knowing that they need a striker to replace Isak.
Of course, as part of any deal, Juventus will want Sandro Tonali. They'd be willing to throw in one of Douglas Luiz or Nicolò Savola and some cash as well, to make the deal worthwhile for Newcastle.
Dusan Vlahovic - that 'world-class' striker nobody wants
--------------------------------------------------------
We have to admit, it's bold, and it shows just how highly rated Tonali is in his homeland that it would take money and two players to get Newcastle to the table, but still, no thanks.
Dusan Vlahovic hasn't lived up to the promise he once showed, as evidenced by the fact that he's still at Juventus despite them trying to offload him all summer.
Furthermore, Newcastle are trying to recruit for midfield, so letting the star midfielder go makes absolutely no sense. It's a story steeped in fantasy, but even if it's true, it's just not going to happen.
