Everton have hit plenty of stumbling blocks during preseason as David Moyes looks to improve on their 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
Over the summer, the Toffees have struggled in their friendlies, going winless during their five preseason games, losing three and drawing two.
Most recently, the Blues concluded the Premier League Summer Series in the United States by drawing 2-2 against Moyes’ former side, Manchester United.
With the new Premier League campaign getting closer, plenty of big figures in the footballing world have been making their predictions, and Stan Collymore’s will make him even more unwelcome at Everton.

The 2024/25 Premier League table
The Toffees’ slow summer has been reflected in former Liverpool striker Collymore’s Premier League 2025/26 predictions.
The 54-year-old posted his predictions on X (8 August) and has predicted Everton to finish 13th, behind the likes of Tottenham, Manchester United, and Crystal Palace.
The former Nottingham Forest midfielder has also predicted Liverpool to finish top again next season.

Collymore’s prediction could come true
Given Everton’s slow progress during the transfer window, Collymore’s prediction could come true.
Having lost the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure at the end of last season, the Blues are lacking depth and have moved too slowly to resolve the issue.
It’s all well and good being linked with quality Premier League players such as Grealish and Douglas Luiz, but Everton must push the deals over the line before having any hope of pushing on next season.
A top-half finish should be the minimum that supporters expect, and at the moment, Moyes’ side don’t look set for that.
