Leeds United could be set to make a move to sign Andreas Schjelderup.
Daniel Farke is looking to bring several more attackers to Elland Road this summer, and MOT Leeds News exclusively revealed that the Whites had scouts present to watch Schjelderup in Benfica’s Champions League win over Nice.
The 21-year-old Norwegian international was tipped for big things a few years ago, and has taken some time to get used to life in Portugal.
However, if Leeds pursue a deal and succeed with that, it would be a major coup and would definitely soften the blow of losing out on Igor Paixao.

How much would Leeds have to pay to sign Schjelderup?
Via Transfermrkt, Schjelderup has a valuation of £13million, though it would likely take significantly more than that for Benfica to consider a sale.

He was signed for a reported £8.76m from Nordsjaelland, and they will want to make a significant profit if they are to part ways.

Nine goal contributions in all competitions
The winger is under contract until 2028, meaning there is no pressure to sell, but the Portuguese side could be slightly tempted into a deal if Leeds were to start an offer at around £30m.
With that said, he has a release clause valued at £86m, which gives the Portuguese side another reason not to sell.
In terms of his wages, Capology states that he earns around £6,000 per week, and the Whites would of course be able to offer a significant increase on that, which could persuade him to make the move.
The 21-year-old registered nine goal contributions in all competitions for Benfica last season, making seven appearances in the Champions League.

What shirt number could Schjelderup wear at Leeds?
Leeds are yet to announce the new shirt numbers, but based on last season, Alex Cairns would have to give up his number.
That is because the Whites’ goalkeeper currently occupies the number 21, which is the name number Schjelderup has adopted in his last four seasons.
Pascal Struijk previously wore the number, with names such as Samu Saiz and Dominic Matteo also featuring in its history.
