Tom Brady is back for the second year of his lucrative 10-year deal with Fox Sports. The seven-time Super Bowl champion will be back on the booth calling games this fall.
Brady is the game analyst for FOX's No. 1 NFL broadcasting team, working alongside play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt. Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi round out the crew as sideline reporters.
Every Sunday, FOX assigns Brady and company to its top matchup. On Friday, the company revealed where TB12 will be for the first two weeks of the upcoming season.
On Sunday, Sept. 7, Brady will call a Week 1 game between longtime NFC East rivals when the New York Giants take on the Washington Commanders. The matchup features Commanders star quarterback Jayden Daniels, who led the team to the NFC Championship Game as a rookie.
The following week, Brady, Burkhardt, Andrews and Rinaldi will be at Arrowhead Stadium for the Week 2 Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
Mixed reviews for Brady in year 1
Brady's broadcasting debut was much anticipated last fall. After all, FOX signed him to a 10-year, $375 million contract and bumped Greg Olsen, who was well-regarded, from the top analyst spot to accommodate Brady.
Early on, Brady drew heavy criticism for his work on the mic, but in our opinion, he did seem to settle in as the season went along. FOX capped off its 2024 campaign by broadcasting Super Bowl 59 between the Chiefs and Eagles in New Orleans.
Some thought Brady wouldn't be back
Considering his duties as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, there was some speculation if Brady would even want to return to the booth this fall.
The future Pro Football Hall of Famer ended all of that when he announced he would be returning in a social media post shortly after the Super Bowl.
"The 2024 @nfl season is in the books It certainly was a new challenge to undertake but I couldn't have asked for a better team to be a part of and learn from!" Brady said. "To all of my @nflonfox teammates, producers, crew, and colleagues-you made this experience so special, and I'm grateful for the energy, dedication and perseverance you brought every week while always delivering the best broadcast for the fans who we serve week in and week out.
"It's always been about the TEAM and I'm lucky to be part of this great one @foxsports. Wait…How long until Week 1???? LFG!! #ontothenextone."
Week 1 is four weeks away, and now we know where Brady will be for the first NFL Sunday of the year.
Other FOX announcing teams confirmed
In addition to Brady and Burkhardt, FOX is keeping its announcing pairings consistent for 2025.
Play-by-play man Joe Davis, the network's top baseball announcer, will again work alongside Greg Olsen, with Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma, Kevin Kugler and Daryl Johnston, Adam Amin and Mark Sanchez and Chris Myers and Mark Schlereth rounding out the teams.
Football is almost back.
