There is a lot of potential hype about Manning leaving for the NFL after the 2025 college football season, but there could be a chance that he will stay at Texas past this season. Archie Manning said about Arch potentially declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft,
“Arch isn’t going to do that. He’ll be at Texas.”
Well, this could potentially end the talks of Manning leaving the Longhorns for the NFL after the 2025 season. He most likely head back to Texas for the 2026 college football season and most likely enter the 2027 NFL Draft instead.

Manning hasn’t even taken a snap yet in the 2025 season and many are wondering if he will leave for the NFL after this season or come back to college for another season. Texas is projected to be one of the top quarterbacks in the country this season and can very well be in the running for the Heisman Trophy.
With what Archie said about Arch potentially staying at Texas past 2025, there are some NFL fans who had to chime in about the fact that he could still be staying in college past 2025 on Twitter:

He waited 2 years to play at UT. He’s going to play 2 full years there. I don’t even know why this would be the least bit surprising

He’s staying. We’ve all expected that to happen

why wouldnt he??? playing only 1 year is not gonna make him better prepared for the NFL.. 2 years he will be good..

NFL teams hoping Arch in 2026, have to wait until 2027

A lot of people think that Manning would come back to college is because the Cleveland Browns or the New Orleans Saints could be the two worst teams in the league. However, what if better teams like the Miami Dolphins or the Indianapolis Colts had the number one pick? Could Manning come out then? There are some people who will believe that Manning would not want to play for the Browns or the Saints.
During the 2024 season, he completed 67.8% of his passes for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions. It will be interesting to see what kind of season Manning will have in 2025 for Texas before a potential 2026 NFL Draft decision will be made.
