Everyone is aware of Micah Parsons’ situation with the Dallas Cowboys. It’s been more than a week since Parsons requested a trade from the franchise. Due to prolonged contract negotiation issues, Parsons had had enough with the team and wanted to play for another team.
Parsons has all the rights to be angry or request for a trade. Despite putting in efforts to reach a new deal, Jerry Jones had shown no interest. Parsons felt ignored and hurt since the team refused to negotiate with his agent. Many analysts and insiders responded to the situation and Damien Woody held nothing back. Woody called Jones’ old school tactics nonsense.
“It’s just a hot mess. We have to understand who Jerry Jones is — a Hall of Fame marketer with a flair for theatrics. This whole contract, the handshake talk, it’s nonsense. Micah Parsons has an agent; go to his agent. What does a handshake mean in 2025? If there was a deal, verify it with the agent. If not, none of it matters,” Woody said.

Dak Prescott Optimistic About Jerry Jones Retaining Micah Parsons
Despite all the drama, Parsons’ teammate Dak Prescott has been optimistic about the situation. Prescott thinks that Jones will somehow find a way to retain Parsons. Prescott mentioned that he has faith in Jerry Jones that he will do what it takes.
“I’ve got faith in the Joneses and the team as I do in Micah and his team, 11 is a Cowboy,”Prescott said.
He also mentioned that it’s a business and it can’t be made personal.
“At the end of the day, it is business. We can’t make something business personal. I think when you do that, that’s where the division comes… Once that business deal happens, you can move forward,” Prescott said.

It’s clear that Dak Prescott is not ready to part ways with Micah Parsons. While Jerry Jones is still hanging around and has yet to make a decision, Prescott wants to have Parsons on his team. A number of teams would be willing to grab Miach Parsons. As for Woody, he was sure to speak his mind about the whole drama that had been going on for a while.
