The Boston Celtics re-signed their head coach, Joe Mazzulla, to a new multi-year deal.
The Boston Celtics have committed to long-term stability by extending the contract of their recent championship-winning coach.
The team officially announced that Joe Mazzulla has signed a multi-year contract extension.
“This is truly a blessing,” Mazzulla said, per the Celtics.
“I would not be here without my faith, my wife, and my children. We are thankful for the partnership with our ownership groups, Brad’s mentorship, and the support of our staff."
"Most importantly, I am grateful for the players I have been able to coach the past three seasons. I look forward to competing for the Celtics and the city of Boston."
During Mazzulla’s three-year tenure, he has compiled an impressive 182-64 regular-season record.
He has been honored as Eastern Conference Coach of the Month four times and made history as the youngest head coach to win the NBA Finals since Bill Russell led the Celtics to the championship as a 35-year-old player-coach in the 1968-69 season.
