As Sky Sports in England reports that Newcastle United are finally closing in on Yoane Wissa, their German counterparts are reporting that the Magpies are now in talks for another striker.
Newcastle have a few more options to look at after missing out on Benjamin Sesko, with a couple of new names appearing today, but Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany has now reported that Newcastle have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain over their £76 million striker, Randal Kolo Muani.
Randal Kolo Muani is a player who has been linked with Newcastle many times in the past few years, but there's never been any concrete moves for the France forward, until now.
Newcastle will have their work cut out for them, however, as it has been widely reported that Randal Kolo Muani has his heart set on a move to Juventus, where he spent the second half of last season on loan.

Randal Kolo Muani is contracted to PSG until 2028, but Newcastle have opened talks
Plettenberg has claimed that Kolo Muani is 'high' on Newcastle's priority list and that contact has been made with PSG.
🚨⚫️⚪️ BREAKING | Newcastle United have opened negotiations with Randal Kolo Muani!
The 26 y/o is now high on Newcastle’s shortlist after their move for Benjamin Sesko fell through. While #NUFC are exploring other options, Kolo Muani is a concrete target. Contract with Paris Saint-Germain valid until 2028.

PSG seem ready to let Kolo Muani go permanently
Despite being a huge purchase for PSG just two years ago, it seems that the European champions are ready to let the 26-year-old leave.
He's been linked with several clubs this summer, but as we said, Juventus has been reported as his priority move. However, Juventus may not have the finances to pull off a move which does leave the door open for Newcastle.
Randal Kolo Muani feels a bit like Dusan Vlahovic (whose sale by Juventus would likely fund a move for Kolo Muani) in that he was touted as the next big thing, but then just fell off.
We know that Eddie Howe has a magic touch though, and if he believes he can get the best out of these players, who are we to argue?
