Man Utd unveil new £50m Carrington training hub, Sir Jim Ratcliffe ‘delighted’ with outcome

Manchester United have unveiled their new £50 million redevelopment of the men’s first-team building at Carrington training complex.

It’s a milestone moment for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos as they continue to make changes at Manchester United.

We’ve already seen Ineos spend big this summer to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Matheus Cunha arrived from Wolves earlier this summer, before Bryan Mbeumo completed his transfer from Brentford.

United are expected to announce the signing of Benjamin Sesko soon, and all players can look forward to training with world-class facilities at Carrington.

It has been designed to inspire collaboration, innovation and excellence to serve Amorim’s squad for many years to come.

The project was not only completed on time but also within budget.

Moreover, the players can get used to their new working environment a week before the Premier League season kicks off.

In the latest development at Carrington, there was a focus on fitness, nutrition, recovery and team unity. They also designed it with input from players and staff.

United co-owner Ratcliffe is ‘delighted’ with the new world-class facilities at Carrington, which were revealed on Friday.

Ratcliffe is confident the new facilities will help build a winning mentality in United’s first-team.

“Following a review of the facility last year, we made a quick decision to invest significantly in the creation of a world-class performance environment for staff and players to reflect our ambition and vision for Manchester United,” Ratcliffe told ManUtd.com.

“We are delighted with the outcome and are confident the new facility will play an important role in building a winning culture at the club.”

United’s chief executive officer Omar Berrada added: “This project represents a clear step towards unifying every part of the club around a shared footballing vision. By bringing our staff and players closer together in one integrated environment, we are creating a culture of collaboration and high-performance.”
