Nicolas Jackson’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain and it’s unclear where he’ll be playing beyond the summer window.
On Thursday, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that Bayern Munich could offer the striker an escape route.
He explained the Bundesliga winners have made contact to ask about Jackson’s current situation at Chelsea and the price needed to take him away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Plettenberg also mentioned Newcastle United remain a serious contender for the Senegal international, valued at €65m by the Blues.
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has been speaking to the media and Sport1 have relayed his comments. The official was specifically asked about the Bavarian club’s interest in the Chelsea frontman and about claims stating they have made an approach to sign him.
Responding to that, he said: “Definitely not. I’ve never spoken to him.”
That should now be enough to put reports linking Jackson to Bayern Munich to bed. He still needs to find a new club if he’s not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans this season.
The former Villarreal man’s contract expires in 2033. He scored 13 goals and registered six assists from 37 games.
