The 2025/26 Premier League season is set to showcase a new wave of electric young wingers ready to take over English football. From explosive dribblers to versatile goal threats, these wide players aren’t just promising; they’re already impacting the biggest games.
In an era dominated by pace, creativity, and tactical flexibility, the league is stacked with under-23 talent destined for superstardom. Whether it’s Manchester City’s next breakout star or a Brighton gem flying under the radar, this list ranks the top 10 young wingers in the Premier League to watch in 2025/26. Expect future Ballon d’Or contenders in here.
10. Wilson Odobert, Tottenham
Tottenham invested 25 million pounds in Wilson Odobert from Burnley last summer, and while the highly talented Frenchman has yet to break out in the starting lineup, he has shown flashes of brilliance and is quietly one of the most promising players in the side.
Thomas Frank could yet unearth the best version of Odobert, whose dribbling skills and close control also make him an outside-the-box option to play at the No. 10 position amidst an injury crisis with James Maddison tearing his ACL to join Dejan Kulusevski on the Tottenham injured list.
9. Brajan Gruda, Brighton
A breakout playmaker for Mainz in the 2023/24 Bundesliga season with 2.5 dribbles completed, 1.7 fouls drawn, and 1.5 key passes per match, Brajan Gruda, like Odobert, is versatile enough to play on the wing or as a playmaker.
Gruda made more starts on the right flank than in the middle for Brighton, and while it was a subdued first season in the Premier League with just eight starts, the 21-year-old German is clearly one for the future.
8. Mathys Tel, Tottenham
Another young French Tottenham winger, Mathys Tel was surprisingly let go by Bayern Munich this summer, as Spurs were somehow able to negotiate down the final transfer fee for the ex-Rennes gem to just 35 million euros.
With Son Heung-min injured due to a nagging foot injury, Tel stepped up big time at the end of the season and helped Spurs secure a historic Europa League title. Tel is a major breakout candidate heading into the 2025/26 season, and with Son now in MLS, Tel will likely get the first crack at the starting job if Daniel Levy doesn’t sign someone else first.
7. Alejandro Garnacho, Manchester United
Closely linked with a move to Chelsea, Alejandro Garnacho has made plenty of waves in the summer transfer window, as the hyrbid winger and No. 10 is looking to branch out beyond Manchester United – but he still wants to be in the Premier League.
Garnacho’s bicycle kick made him an online sensation and showed the world just how good he can be. Although Garnacho is all kinds of inconsistent, the Argentinian international is undoubtedly one of the biggest talents in the English league today.
6. Ethan Nwaneri, Arsenal
Arsenal’s next superstar winger, Ethan Nwaneri shares his best position with Arsenal’s current superstar winger, Bukayo Saka, and the especially tricky thing here is that there’s a feeling the teenage sensation has even more long-term upside than Saka.
Finding a way for both of these prodigious talents to fit together in the same XI will be Mikel Arteta’s big challenge this summer, as he’s finally secured a real striker in Viktor Gyokeres. Nwaneri is one of the biggest talents to watch in world football for the 2025/26 season.
5. Yankuba Minteh, Brighton
Brighton made quite the coup last summer when they somehow landed Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle, and the Magpies will likely live to regret this transfer, with the 21-year-old Gambian right winger already making plenty of noise at the habor.
Minteh had 10 goal contributions for Brighton last season, and he’s one of the most explosive players in the Premier League in transition. Beyond his dribbling skills, Minteh has end product, and he has the talent to become a legitimate 15-goal winger in the English top flight.
4. Estevao Willian, Chelsea
While Estevao Willian hasn’t played a single minute in the Premier League, he is an even more exciting prospect to watch than Ethan Nwaneri, and perhaps Real Madrid are regretting going hard after viral Internet star Endrick instead of his more polished Palmeiras teammate.
Willian and Cole Palmer are going to be the ultimate end game duo in London, as both left-footed stars can play out wide or through the middle. The Brazilian is already a key player for the national team and showed at Palmeiras time and time again that he has the goal-scoring chops and the tactical intelligence to suit the Premier League. He’s ready for the big time.
3. Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Chelsea
And so is Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who will prove to be a much better signing with a Borussia Dortmund background for Chelsea than either the slovenly Jadon Sancho or the prideful Christian Pulisic.
Humble to his core, Bynoe-Gittens was one of the best wingers in European football in the first half of the 2025/26 season before Niko Kovac’s system made him an afterthought. He never threw a fit, and he’s improved so much as a player since first getting minutes at Dortmund, back when he’d legitimately dribble the ball out of bounds under no pressure.
Now, Bynoe-Gittens is a monster, and when he wants to cut inside and score, nobody can stop him. He scored eight goals last season and averaged nearly four dribbles completed and fouls drawn per game for Dortmund, and it’s scary to think the English left winger is just 20. Gittens is already a nailed-on starter.
2. Savinho, Manchester City
Speaking of nailed-on starters, Savinho was one of the best players in La Liga during the 2023/24 season when Girona made a legitimate push for the title against Real Madrid, and he immediately had the same impact for Manchester City last season on an otherwise disappointing side.
The Brazilian right winger averaged 1.8 dribbles completed per game and registered eight assists, and you can only imagine the numbers he can put up in year two with both more experience in the Premier League and a better supporting cast around him.
Equally capable of playing on either side of the formation, Savinho brings the same dynamism as Jeremy Doku, but he is a couple of years younger at 21 and has superior end product.
1. Rayan Cherki, Manchester City
The newest attacking star at Manchester City, Rayan Cherki somehow cost the club under 40 million euros because of his release clause with Lyon and the French giant’s own desperation to sell to avoid relegation – and potential insolvency.
Rayan Cherki is doubly sweet to Pep Guardiola and Manchester City, because, like Erling Haaland, he is a generational-level talent whom Champions League nemesis Real Madrid were courting for years before ultimately not even pursuing at the decisive moment.
With his sweet left foot, Cherki carried Lyon to relevancy last season and even had them in contention for the Europa League title before the defensive implosion to eventual finalists Manchester United.
Cherki’s technical quality and inventiveness are almost second to none, and among all the players on this list, the clutch French assists wizard is the most logical option to have a Player of the Season-caliber campaign in 2025/26.
