Everton may have to convince Manchester City forward Jack Grealish to make the move to Merseyside this summer.

The Toffees are in the race for the Englishman, who seems to be out of Pep Guardiola’s plans for the upcoming season.

The Friedkin Group (TFG) have their eyes on Grealish, as they look to make a statement at the Hill Dickinson Stadium before the end of August.

David Moyes could have the Man City attacker at his disposal as the Blues look to sign him on loan, and he’s already been urged over the summer to move to L5.

Alan Stubbs bumps into Grealish amid Everton transfer links

Alan Stubbs urged Grealish to sign for the Toffees after meeting him in Marbella.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The former Blues defender had a night out with the 29-year-old recently and tried his best to get the forward to join Moyes’ team.

Stubbs believes the England international would be someone the Merseyside outfit’s fans will look up to if he were to move to L5.

Speaking on talkSPORT (8 August), the ex-defender said: “To be honest, I had a night out with Jack [Grealish] in the summer over in Marbella. I tried my best to get him to Everton. I was telling him how much he’d be loved. He’d be an idol at Everton, the fans would really take to him.”

Grealish may have other options for Man City exit

Napoli have been linked with Grealish in recent weeks, and the Serie A outfit would arguably present a much better prospect for him than the Toffees.

The Italian club are managed by one of the best managers in the world, Antonio Conte, who won the league title last season in Naples.

Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has thrived at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Man City star attracted by that.

Man City signed Grealish for £100million.

The forward earns £300,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium.

Last season, the 29-year-old was underwhelming under Guardiola.

Everton may not be the best place for Grealish right now as they work on building their squad for next season.

The Toffees arguably need several new signings in the coming weeks as Moyes looks to build a competitive team at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

What the Blues may be able to offer the 29-year-old is guaranteed minutes, which could potentially have a massive impact ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

While supporters in L5 will want to see the English forward in Merseyside, only time will tell what the future holds for him.
