Rangers and Knicks doubleheaders show what makes MSG special

Madison Square Garden has the reputation of being the World's Most Famous Arena as it is a place that has hosted a bevy of historic events. There have been memorable prize fights, championship games, concerts, and so much more. One of the more unique experiences for fans has been doubleheader days in which fans can see both the New York Rangers and New York Knicks compete at home.

The most recent doubleheader being on a Saturday was perfect, and with the games spaced out enough to allow for the arena crew to transform the ice into a hardwood court provided anyone attending both events to grab some food in-between, or experience some of the sights New York City has to offer.

It was a great day for fans in attendance as the Rangers started the day with a 5-3 win over the Canucks, a game in which Jonny Brodzinski scored twice and Igor Shesterkin made 36 saves, and it ended with a 122-103 win by the Jalen Brunson-less Knicks highlighted by 31 points and 11 rebounds by Karl Anthony Towns, 27 points from Mikal Bridges, and 23 points from OG Anunoby

There are other arenas where this is possible like American Airlines Center (Dallas Stars and Mavericks), Ball Arena (Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets), Capital One Arena (Washington Capitals and Wizards), Crypto.com Arena (Los Angeles Kings and Lakers), Little Caesars Arena (Detroit Red Wings and Pistons) Scotiabank Arena (Toronto Maple Leafs and Raptors) TD Garden (Boston Bruins and Celtics) United Center (Chicago Blackhawks and Bulls) and Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers).

If you happen to live in one of those cities I would cross reference schedules once the NBA releases it to see if there's a doubleheader you can attend. It is a certainly something on my bucket list, and if possible I will cross it off this season.
