Newcastle watch on as Premier League-linked Kingsley Coman opens transfer talks

Kingsley Coman is nearing a potential switch to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Bayern Munich have been open to the idea of selling the French winger throughout the transfer window.

The Bundesliga champions have already signed a top-class addition to the left flank in Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.

The Colombian international moved to the Allianz Arena on a £65.5m (including add-ons) from the Premier League champions.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday afternoon on X (formerly Twitter) that Al-Nassr opened talks to sign the 29-year-old attacker.

FC Bayern and the Saudi Pro League side are understood to have opened club-to-club negotiations.

According to our information here at CF Bayern Insider, we’re of the understanding that the French international and Al-Nassr are in advanced talks.

We reported back in June that there was Saudi interest in Coman’s services, with offers then yet to arrive for the footballer.

It’s an intriguing turn of events for the attacker, given, as we previously noted, the forward’s partner had been opposed to a move to the Middle East.

How much do Bayern want for Coman this summer?

Bayern are looking for a fee €35m [£30.3m] for the left-sided attacker.

Premier League set to miss out on Coman transfer?

Premier League giants Newcastle were, at one stage, in the picture to land the Paris-born star.

However, it seems the Magpies are single-mindedly focused on securing a successor for potentially Liverpool-bound Alexander Isak.

Eddie Howe’s men are pushing hard for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa and have broadened their striker search to the likes of Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson and FC Porto’s Samu Aghehowa.
