Manchester United supporters are waiting patiently for news of Benjamin Sesko's arrival from RB Leipzig to be confirmed.

The Slovenian flew into Manchester, on Thursday evening, after United reached a £74million transfer agreement with his club. On Friday, it is understood that Sesko undertook his medical at Carrington and all appears to be on track to announce him this weekend.

Of course, the official announcement would coincide with United's pre-season fixture against Fiorentina at Old Trafford. The game is United's first - and last - at Old Trafford this summer before the Premier League returns on August 17 against Arsenal.

Many are speculating as to whether United will use the fixture to unveil Sesko to his new club's supporters. The match is already considered to be a special occasion with David de Gea returning for the first time since leaving Old Trafford and United have hinted that Sesko's unveiling could coincide with this.

In an official statement, United confirmed their three senior signings to date this summer - namely Diego Leon, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo - will paraded to the home supporters before the game against Fiorentina. Understandably, there was no mention that Sesko would be involved in this unveiling.

However, it can be expected that - should everything go according to plan - the Slovenian striker will join his new teammates on the pitch prior to the game. While Leon, Cunha and Mbeumo will all be expected to play some part in the match, Sesko will likely only have a watching brief - having only just joined the squad.

Ruben Amorim is, then, likely to make a decision on whether Sesko is fit enough to feature against Arsenal in the week to follow.
