Newcastle eye Samu, Al-Nassr in Coman talks: Latest transfer news and rumours today

Newcastle United are reportedly giving serious consideration to moving for Porto forward Samu Aghehowa this summer, having missed out on a blockbuster deal for Benjamin Sesko.

The Magpies could sign two new strikers this summer, with Callum Wilson leaving at the end of July, while Alexander Isak continued to be linked with a big-money switch to Liverpool.

Brentford's Yoane Wissa is regarded to be a leading target for the club, but according to transfer expert David Ornstein, Newcastle are also seriously considering a move for Samu.

Ornstein claims that the Magpies are yet to make a formal approach, but the Spain international is very much on the club's radar at this stage of proceedings.

Samu was heavily linked with Chelsea before joining Porto from Atletico Madrid last summer, and he has represented his current side on 45 occasions, scoring 27 goals and registering three assists in the process.

Al-Nassr 'in talks' over Coman deal

Meanwhile, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al-Nassr are currently in talks with Bayern Munich over a potential deal for Kingsley Coman during this summer's transfer window.

Romano claims that discussions between the two clubs have started, and Coman is allegedly interested in linking up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr for the 2025-26 campaign.

The Frenchman has another two years left to run on his contract with Bayern, and he has represented the Bundesliga champions on 339 occasions, scoring 72 goals and registering 71 assists in the process.

Last season, the 29-year-old managed nine goals and six assists in 45 appearances for Vincent Kompany's team.

Coman is believed to be on the radar of a number of European clubs this summer, but he could be given the chance to become one of the best-paid players in the world with a switch to Saudi Arabia.

Villa 'offer Ramsey a new contract' amid transfer talk

Elsewhere, Aston Villa have allegedly offered Jacob Ramsey a new contract in a bid to keep hold of the attacker, who is being linked with a move away from the club during this summer's transfer window.

West Ham United and Newcastle are among the clubs said to be keen on the 24-year-old.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Villa have no intention of letting Ramsey leave this summer, and they have offered him a new contract which would see his salary increase.

Ramsey scored four goals and registered seven assists in 46 appearances for Villa last season.

In total, the attacker has 17 goals and 19 assists in 167 appearances for his current club, and his existing deal with Unai Emery's side is due to run until the summer of 2027.

Villa have had a relatively quiet summer transfer window to date in terms of incomings, but they announced the arrival of Evann Guessand from Nice on Friday.
