Fabrizio Romano: Chelsea agree personal terms with ‘phenomenal’ star, bid expected

Chelsea appear to be closing in on a move to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano - with the Italian journalist stating that the Blues have 'agreed every detail' on personal terms with the Red Devils starlet.

United have seen RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko undergo a medical after agreeing a fee for him on Thursday, completing a trio of marquee signings at Old Trafford in Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Matheus Cunha and Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo. But Sesko's arrival has opened the door to an exit for Garnacho - with Chelsea ready to pounce on the opportunity.

Romano: Garnacho Has Agreed 'Every Detail' of Chelsea Contract

The report by Romano states that Garnacho has now agreed 'every detail' of personal terms with Chelsea, as the Argentine winger closes in on a move to Stamford Bridge after his Old Trafford future became dormant.

The deal is now done between the Blues and the speedy wide man, with Garnacho 'only wanting Chelsea' as his next destination having been linked with a move away from Ruben Amorim's squad for the past six months. Talks with United over a possible fee for the Madrid-born star will follow soon, and the Blues are now set to move for him and Xavi Simons to bolster their ranks going forward.

Enzo Maresca's side have already signed a number of talents this summer, including Premier League additions in the form of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and Joao Pedro from Brighton, whilst Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato have both joined from European outfits Borussia Dortmund and Ajax respectively - alongside a host of young signings from across the world that were mainly completed in previous years.

However, the sales of Bashir Humphreys, Lesley Ugochukwu and Armando Broja to newly-promoted Burnley for around £55million - alongside further exits for Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Dorde Petrovic and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - have brought in huge funds for the club which can allow them to push ahead with deals to sign Garnacho, who has been billed as 'phenomenal'.

The 21-year-old has made 93 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils, an incredible number at such a young age - scoring 16 goals in that time - and his experience, potential and ability will mark him as a top star in west London.

He'll face competition from the likes of Gittens, Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer and Estevao Willian for minutes in the capital, but his experience and ability already in his career could make him a starting star for the club.
