Liverpool star could complete move to Leeds United on one condition

Leeds United are now set on adding a few new faces before their Premier Leauge campaign kicks off. The Whites face Everton in over a week.

Daniel Farke bluntly said the team was not prepared for top flight football after the friendly against Villarreal. His complaint was that the team lacked some quality, especially in attack. In making his point clear, Farke hit on the fact that Leeds are yet to sign a winger to replace Manor Solomon from last season.

As of this week, it has been revealed that Leeds United have interest in Liverpool star Ben Doak. The youngster is currently in pre-season with Arne Slot’s side. It is believed that the Reds are open to a permanent move for the attacker, but it looks like a loan could also be considered.

£20million is the fee that has been rumoured from Liverpool’s end so far. West Ham, AS Monaco and Bologna are also interested.

Journalist Anthony Joseph has revealed that one thing that could convince the player to move is playing time. It seems to be the top of his demands for a transfer.

Ben Doak was heralded as a ‘world class’ talent

Doak has been a highly rated talent since he broke onto the scene. Leeds had the opportunity to sign the youngster, but the attacker ultimately chose a move to Anfield. Former Scotland manager Craig Levein tipped him to be a ‘world class’ star after seeing him play:

“It’s maybe a bit early to say this but this kid could be a world class player. And I think Steve (Clarke) knows that as well. When you have pace like that, there are very few defenders who when you square them up one v one, they can deal with you.

“He’s proven that this evening, even the top defenders in the world – he can go past them at a whim.

“Just imagine when he’s had three or four years, he’ll be even quicker and will have more confidence.

“He will have ten times more confidence then too.”

The 19-year old had three goals and seven assists in the Championship last season.
