Leeds United will make drastic changes to their attack from last season in the championship. The club could start the Premier League season with two players gone from the previous campaign.
Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph, two players who were backup to Joel Piroe, will play no part next season. Daniel Farke informed Bamford that he would not be in his plans due to the striker’s injury record in the past few years. Mateo Joseph’s situation is different; he asked for a transfer and failed to show up for training camp.

Because of that Farke deemed him out of his plans, and the club have lined up a loan to Mallorca for him.
When asked about reinforcements in attack, the Leeds boss had this to say:
“I’m not crying for too many numbers anyhow but it’s obvious in all offensive positions we definitely need reinforcements to improve us. We will see what the outcome is in reality.
“But it’s not about the numbers; it’s more about the quality of the players that we bring in. They need to be improvements to what we currently have.”

Door open for Fulham star to move to Leeds United

Since Leeds had a bid rejected for Rodrigo Muniz earlier this summer, the club has held hope that they could complete a move for the Brazilian. Both Fulham and the player are aware of the interest, but no one was yet to make a move. The London club have tried to offer Muniz a new deal, but according to TMW, a deal has stalled.
Atalanta are also interested in signing the striker, and per the report, the Italian side think Fulham’s reported £40million asking price is now flexible. La Gazzetta dello Sport are saying that since contract negotiations are at a standstill, Muniz could move for a lower fee than demanded. The Brazilian has just one-year left on his current deal at Craven Cottage.
Leeds need to show ambition after Paixao snub
Leeds United need to show the same ambition they decided to when they pursued Igor Paixao. The club was convinced the Brazilian was a player who could turn things around and be an immediate contributor to the team.
Muniz can do very similar. He is a goalscorer with experience in the top flight, and has proven he can do it with a struggling club. Leeds could benefit with someone like him leading the line next season.
