“Pigs have flown!” “Hell has frozen over!” “Get ready to party with the Lombardi!” All lines that have been cemented in the brain of every New Orleans Saints fan on the planet. And that’s just a small sliver of the career of legendary broadcaster Jim Henderson.
We’re happy to say that Jim joined Jim Derry on Friday’s Dattitude Podcast presented by Evangeline Securities to celebrate the 400th episode to talk about his 47 years in New Orleans, including how it all started. What was it like to work with Archie Manning, Hokie Gajan and Deuce McAllister? How much grief did he take when he replaced Hap Glaudi, and how did he get past it?
So many questions, and so little time! Also, Jim previews the Saints-Chargers preseason game coming up Sunday, and later asks Gabe Henderson for his analysis on his NFL team predictions from the AFC East and NFC East done earlier this week.
