Maresca to hand Hato first Blues start? Predicted Chelsea lineup vs. AC Milan

Wrapping up a brief pre-season schedule, Chelsea will welcome Italian giants AC Milan to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with Enzo Maresca set to hand minutes to more members of his Club World Cup-winning squad.

Summer signings Estevao, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato all featured in Friday's 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen, and they should play again at the weekend.

While long-term absentee Wesley Fofana is finally back in full training, the Blues are facing up to life without Levi Colwill for the next few months, as the England defender recently suffered an ACL injury.

So, versatile left-back Hato will join Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo, Josh Acheampong and Benoit Badiashile among Maresca's options at the back. Reece James should captain the side, featuring either at right-back or in midfield, with Marc Cucurella favourite to start on the left flank.

After Filip Jorgensen played against Leverkusen, Robert Sanchez may be given an opportunity in goal ahead of next week's Premier League game at home to Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, in midfield, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo could partner each other in a double pivot, with Andrey Santos dropping down to the bench.

Maresca can choose from a whole array of talented attackers, but Cole Palmer tends to stand head and shoulders above his teammates; Gittens, Estevao, Pedro Neto and Tyrique George are all contenders.

As Nicolas Jackson is apparently nearing the exit, Joao Pedro and Delap will fight it out to start up front.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Hato, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Gittens; Pedro
